Agreement
By creating an account or joining a hunt on trailofhints.com you agree to these terms. Trail of Hints is operated by Beaudin Consulting.
Accounts
You must provide accurate information and keep your password secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 13 to create an account.
Your content
You own the hunts, clues, photos and videos you upload. You grant us a license to store, display and transmit that content as needed to run the service, including showing it to other participants in your hunt. Do not upload content that is illegal, infringes someone else's rights, or that you do not have permission to share. We may remove content that violates these terms.
Acceptable use
- Do not design clues that require trespassing, harassment, or unsafe behavior.
- Ask before photographing people who are not part of your hunt.
- Do not attempt to access other users' data or disrupt the service.
Plans and payments
Participants always play free. Paid creator plans are billed through Stripe either monthly or as a one-time payment per hunt, as described on the pricing page. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled and can be cancelled at any time from your dashboard; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Per-hunt purchases unlock a single hunt and do not expire until that hunt is started. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or where we have failed to provide the service.
Availability
We aim for the service to be available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. If you are running a live event, test your hunt beforehand.
Disclaimer and liability
The service is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, Beaudin Consulting is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. You are responsible for the safety of participants in hunts you organize.
Termination
You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Changes
We may update these terms. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be announced by email or in the product.
